Yes, that is right. He paid more for this team than any team has ever been bought for. Do not worry too much about that fact though, he knows what he is doing.
Many of the criticism comes from not invigorating the team with new players, which would bring in the fans. However, their slow to move approach may end up winning big in the long run. Now all Johnson has to do is use the same techniques on a bigger scale. There is an exceptionally reasonable chance that what worked in the minor leagues could work in the major leagues. Then, when new exciting players are brought in, the team will be poised to become strong, and well-loved by fans.
